the brief

Gaston Schul are a full-service customs provider and have been navigating the complexities of international trade for over 175 years. Today, they’re trusted by leading logistic service providers, multinational enterprises and small to medium businesses to make borders invisible and give them certainty in all customs matters.

Formerly hosted on WordPress, the existing website no longer aligned with Gaston Schul’s vision for growth and innovation. As the company's ambitions grew, it became increasingly clear that it lacked the robustness necessary for supporting expansion and effective lead generation.

We were entrusted with re-platforming and designing a digital platform that not only reflected Gaston's branding but also provided enhanced functionality for future growth. Our goal was to migrate the website to a more agile platform, enabling faster integrations and updates to keep pace. They had recently just re-branded their website so we made sure to keep this consistent throughout designing. We were also tasked with making the website multi-language, offering content in both Dutch and German to cater to their global customer base.

our solution

We started the project with a series of workshops with the client, establishing the foundation for a collaborative design phase. This ensured that every aspect was carefully aligned with Gaston's branding and overarching business objectives.

Our team of developers then implemented an agile development cycle, creating rapid iteration and enhancement of the website's features and functionality. This approach helped streamline the development process and allowed for seamless adaptation to evolving requirements.

The re-platforming was a significant part of the project as a whole. We executed a seamless transition, migrating content and functionalities from WordPress to Expression Engine ,our more modern framework. Also, we prioritised building the website on a robust platform. This transition not only improved the website's performance but also made it capable of accommodating Gaston's future expansion, effectively managing increased traffic volumes and additional features.

We aligned the website's design with Gaston Schul's newly established branding, making sure it was a consistent experience for visitors. This ensured that the website embodied their brand values across the whole site.

Recognising Gaston Schul's international reach and their main business being in the Netherlands, we made sure the new website was multi-lingual and offered content in English, Dutch and German. This enhancement not only helped with better communication and a larger Global presence but also showed Gaston Schul's commitment to providing a localised experience for their audiences across the world.

Lastly, we integrated Microsoft Dynamic Forms and Dynamics 365 Customer Voice. These integrations empowered Gaston Schul to streamline their data collection and gather valuable customer feedback easily. By using these tools, we amplified the website's functionality and provided Gaston Schul with insights to drive decision-making and enhance customer engagement.

It also captures feedback immediately across channels with personalised surveys to continuously track customers’ perception of your services and products.
